Boston City Councilor Sal LaMattina, at the monthly meeting of RUFF, praised the group of concerned North End dog owners for their tireless efforts to work with other dog owners and residents to address related issues to help to make things better in the neighborhood.
Responsible Urbanites For Fido (RUFF) have a reported membership of close to 90 members. The group has established ambassadors to patrol several sections of the neighborhood to remind pet owners of their responsibilities to the community they live in. They have also distributed flyers and posted signs reminding dog owners how to be good neighbors.
When you spot a dog with an orange ribbon on its leash or collar that owner and his or her canine are members of RUFF.
“RUFF is a very active and concerned community group trying to do the right thing in the neighborhood,” Councilor LaMattina said. “Residents and other local dog owners should work with this group and recognize their impressive efforts on behalf of the community,” he added.
