There is always a first for everything and the experience of being the first to do so is rewarding.
For example take Gennaro Riccio who became the first write in candidate to ever win a seat on the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council capturing 120 of 239 votes or about fifty percent of the votes casts.
Not only was Riccio the first to accomplish this feat, he did it on his first attempt as a candidate for NEWNC.
It appeared that many young male and female residents found their way to the polling site to support Riccio.
Coming from a widely known family, Riccio is a popular member of the North End neighborhood and has vast experience in the business community as well.
Riccio will officially take his seat on the Council at their monthly meeting scheduled for Monday, June 11 at 7pm at the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street.
