Margaret Prato

Of Revere, formerly of the North End

Margaret (Bentivegna) Prato of Revere, formerly of Boston’s North End, died on December 3. She was in her 92nd year.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Prato; loving mother of Anthony Prato of Salem and Paul Prato and his wife, Cynthia of New Hampshire; dear sister of Phil Bentivenga of Revere and the late Lillian Fici, Gussie Giardello, Fannie Grafoni, Paul, Pasquale, Anthony, Joseph and Jimmy Bentivegna; cherished grandmother of Joseph, Cindy Jo and Richard Prato and she also leaves two great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were by Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, Revere. Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. For guest book. www.vazzafunerals.com.

Esmeralda Fellowes

Former resident of the North End

Esmeralda (Lopez) Fellowes, formerly of East Boston and Boston’s North End, died on January1 following a long illness. She was 84 years old.

A member of the Eastern Star and the Telephone Pioneers of America, she was the cherished mother of Cynthia L. Fellowes of New York City, Patricia L. Mysior and her husband, George of Owings, MD, Janet D. Bisson and her husband, Gene of Dracut and Mark C. Fellowes and his wife, Rosemary Heffernan of Cambridge; devoted grandmother of Lauren Wetherbee and Amara Bisson, both of Dracut, Lindsay Mysior, Rachel Mysior and Lindsey-Nicole Sassen, all of Owings, MD; dear sister of Gloria T. Woodland of Revere and the late Lilia Leslie. She is also lovingly survived by her great grandson Bentley J. Wetherbee and her brother in law, John E. Leslie Jr. of Revere and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, Revere. Burial was in Puritan Lawn Memorial Cemetery, West Peabody.. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the American Stroke Assoc., NE Affiliate, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688 or to the Boston Visiting Nurses Assoc., 500 Rutherford Av., Charlestown, MA 02129.

Vincent Leone

Of Boston, formerly of Italy

Vincent Leone of Boston, formerly of Italy, died on December 28 from a brief illness.

He was the beloved brother of Luigi Leone and also leaves many other family members.

A Funeral Mass was held St. Leonard’s Church in Boston’s North End.

Joseph H. DiPrima

Of Everett

Joseph H. DiPrima of Everett, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home. He was 83 years of age. Born in Boston, Joe lived in Everett for many years. He was a carpenter by trade and also taught carpentry at the North Bennett Street Industrial School in Boston. Beloved husband of Elena A. (Chirichiello). Dear and devoted father of Charles J. DiPrima and his wife, Donna of Merrimack, NH and Ella DiPrima-Spayne of Revere. Loving grandfather of Charles J. DiPrima, Jr.; Lisa M. DiPrima; and Jennifer E. Spayne and great-grandfather of Alyia Pizarro. Brother of Stephen DiPrima of Charlestown, Jerry DiPrima of Medford, Mary Romano of Malden, Carmella Gilardi of Medford, Phyllis DiPrima, Anna DiPrima and the late Phillip DiPrima.

Funeral from the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St., (corner of Main St.) Everett, Saturday morning at 9. Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 489 Broadway, Everett at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In contributions in his memory to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Rd., Ste. 400, Waltham, MA. 02451 would be sincerely appreciated. Parking with attendants on duty.
