Last week, Judge Mark Wolf ruled that he must give himself up and report to prison on November 16. DiMasi will not be allowed to stay out on bail – a free man- while his appeal is argued.
For DiMasi, and for all of us watching this drama unfold since he was indicted more than 2 years ago, there is no end to the suffering he is going to know and that will affect his family as well.
We feel for Sal – he didn’t murder anyone. He broke the law.
Now he must pay the price.
That price is all about sadness because he was a great friend to this neighborhood and a native son – and everything that has happened is all about downfall and disappointment.
