Another Assault

The sexual assault over the weekend of a young woman walking home early in the morning of a new day is a reminder to us all that we live in the city and that in the city there are real nut cakes who are unable to control themselves.

We are grateful that no one has been hurt by their assailants in a string of sexual assaults going back for quite some time.

But even though no one has been hurt physically, there is the lingering mental weight of having been sexually attacked – of men throwing themselves indecently on women in this neighborhood.

It is the type of thing a woman carries in her memory forever. Such nightmares do not go away. They linger. They hurt. They cause outrage.

We urge the police to maintain their vigilance.

Sooner or later they will get their man.
