Little League teams from the North End Athletic Association and the South End Baseball League will play a two game tournament series, one game at each other’s field on Sunday June 26 and Tuesday June 28.
Sponsored by State Representative Aaron Michlewitz the second annual North 2 South Baseball Classic games will start at 6pm with the first game at Langone Field in the North End and the second game at Peters Park in the South End.
Last year the teams split the series with home field wins.
“As I continue to work for the Third Suffolk District, I learned to admire the two great baseball organizations that these two neighborhoods have,” Rep. Michlewitz said.
“As a youth baseball coach for the previous eight years, I am proud to sponsor an event like this baseball classic which was a big success last year and we hope to build upon that this year,” Michlewitz said.
NEAA Baseball Coordinator John Romano said, “Both organizations are hoping for a strong neighborhood turnout for the seven inning games which will feature players ages twelve and under.”
