NEAA Dodgers Start Season

The NEAA Dodgers have kicked off their 2011 baseball season. The Dodgers play in the RBI (reviving baseball in the inner-city) League which is sponsored by Major League Baseball and the Boston Red Sox. This year the Dodgers will field teams at all three levels. The Dodger’s Freshmen team is comprised of 13-14 year olds and coached by Chuck Bilikas and Alfredo Vilar. This team has opened the season with a 3-2 mark and currently sits tied for 3rd place in the eight team league. The Freshmen Dodger’s roster consists of Aaron Cronin, Jack Ditomassi, Pearse Martin, Michael Rauseo, Joseph Saliba, Navide Aminpour, Jake French, Mark Palumbo, Nico Gennari, Nicholas Mustacchio, Robert Pagliuca, Richard Perez, TJ Shea, Eli Swab and Guarino Vilar.

The Dodger’s also field a Junior squad. This team is made up of 15-16 year old and has started the season with a 2-0 mark. The Junior Dodger’s are coached by Aaron Michlewitz and Matthew Imbergamo. At 2-0 the Dodgers currently sit atop the eight team Junior division. The Dodger’s roster consists of Anthony Coppola, James Ditomassi, Joseph Greco, Nicholas Iudiciani, Justin Amoroso, Anthony Finocchiaro, Anthony Firicano, Harrison Kay, Robert Kysilovsky, Vincent Lopriore, John Posada, Jake Rosato and Bryan Estrella.

Finally the Dodgers field a team in the Senior Division. This team is made up of 17-18 year olds. Opening day for these Dodgers was rained out but they will begin their quest for a championship this weekend. The Senior Dodger team is coached by Ralph Martignetti and Vince DeNictolis. The Dodger’s roster consists of PK Baez, Anthony Barry, Greg Bilikas, Ryan Carvalho, Giacomo Graziani, Frank Iudiciani, Robert Marks, Michael Martignetti, Ricky Martignetti, Bobby Mello, Pat O’Donnell, Lorenzo Papa, Kevin Luciano and Jake Dwyer.

The Freshmen and Junior Dodgers play their home games at Puopolo Park in the North End. The Senior Dodgers play their home games at Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown.
