Leonard Fici

Former employee of Schnitzer Northeast

Leonard J. Fici of Revere, formerly of the North End of Boston, died unexpectedly on June 4. He was 58 years old.

A US Marine Corps veteran, he was a former employee of Schnitzer Northeast, Everett.

He was raised in the North End of Boston, the son of the late Leonard and Susie (Aniello) Fici, father of Tessa E. Everman, grandfather of Bostin and Julian, all of Des Moines, Iowa, brother of Lucille Giso and her husband, Richard, of Peabody, Dolores A. “Dee Dee” Fici, of Revere, and Rose Solimini and her husband, Gerald, of Reading and uncle of several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Funeral Mass was held in St. Leonard’s Church, North End, Boston. Burial will be in MA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at a later date. Josephine Danieli

Revere resident, formerly of the North End

Josephine (Vento) Danieli of Revere, formerly of the North End, died on June 5.

She was the beloved wife of the late Italo Danieli with whom she shared 55 years of marriage; loving mother of Daniel Danieli and his wife, Lorraine, and Gordon Danieli, all of Revere, and his dog, Jasman; dear sister of the late Frances DeMeo, Margaret Russo, Anna, Lily, Michael, Anthony and John Vento.

Jean Ann Simonelli

Mass. Dept. of Revenue employee

Jean Ann Simonelli of Boston’s North End died on June 8.

A long-time employee of the Mass. Department of Revenue, she was the cherished daughter of the late Frank and Ann (Picardo) Simonelli; beloved long-time companion of Jerry Iandoli of the North End; loving sister of Mary Ann Foti and her husband, George; devoted aunt of Adrienne and Anna Foti and is also survived by many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and long-time friends.

Her Funeral Mass was in St.  Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston.  Entombment was at Woodlawn Mausoleum, Everett. Theresa Trovato

Worked for RMV in Quincy

Theresa C. (Caristi) Trovato of Braintree, formerly of the North End, died on June 4 after a period of declining health. She was 79 years old.

Mrs. Trovato worked for the Quincy Office of the Registry of Motor Vehicles where she made long term friends.

She was born in Boston and has been a Braintree resident since 1973. She formerly resided in the North End of Boston. She was a communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Braintree.

She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas P. Trovato and daughter of the late Dominic and Mary (Famulari) Caristi; the loving sister to late family members Marjorie Caristi, Salvatore Caristi, Francis Carpenito and Antoinette Roberto and is survived by Rose and Salvatore DiCarlo of Tewksbury and family, Joseph and Joan Trovato of Hingham, Salvatore and Marie Trovato of Norwood, Dorothy Trovato of Dedham, and Raymond and Theresa (Famulari) Bowler of Littleton, NH and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, Braintree. Burial was at Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Boston. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, New York 10018.

Anthony Cataldo

Of Brockton, formerly of the North End

Anthony J. “Tony” Cataldo of Brockton died June 2. He was 85 years old.

The loving husband for 57 years of Phyllis B. (Luongo) Cataldo, he was born and raised in the North End. He retired in 1985 from the Defense Logistics Agency and previously worked for many years at the Boston Naval Yard, Shop 67.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Elena Cadman and her husband, Gary, of Norwell, Anthony Cataldo, Jr. of Lakeville and Robert Cataldo and his wife, Karen, of Attleboro. He was the grandfather of James and Steven Cataldo and brother of Jean Luongo of Brockton and the late Louise and Marie Cataldo, Camille Colarusso and Phyllis Spinale.
