Josephine Helen (Monaco) Battista, a lifelong resident of Boston’s North End, died on September 28. She was in her 94th year.
A member of the Christian Mothers’ Society and several senior groups, she was the beloved wife of the late Gaetano Battista; loving and devoted mother of Marie A. and William J. Barber of Winchester and Guy A. and Madeline A. Battista of Denver, Colorado; cherished grandmother of Jacqueline M. Battista of Denver, Colorado; dear aunt of Angela Aquilino of Boston; sister of the late Anthony, Liberato, John, Vincent and Peter Monaco, Carmela Puopolo, Carpina Capucci, Mildred Storlazzi and Marianna Monaco. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Edith (Rapacioli) Sperrazza of Revere, formerly of the North End of Boston, died on September 27.
She was the beloved wife of Rosario "Ross" Sperrazza with whom she shared 48 years of marriage; loving mother of Alisa Sperrazza of Revere; dear sister of Eleanor Silvestri of Somerville and the late Luigi "Geno" and Guido Rapacioli, Ermine "Mina" Guiggio, Mary Summa and Dorothy Cesario. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
