Josephine Strazzullo

Of New Hampshire, formerly of the North End

Josephine R. Strazzullo of Portsmouth NH, formerly of the North End of Boston, died on July 11.

She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Strazzullo who died on March  20, 2010; devoted mother of Roberta A. Santangelo and her late husband, Raymond F. Jr. of Portsmouth, and the late Marie B. Margason; adored grandmother of Jessica Santangelo of Portsmouth, NH; dear sister of Anna Ruvido, Frances Picardo and Rosemarie London, all of the North End, Patrina Scuderi of Quincy,Geraldine Rininger of Waltham, Natalie Coleman of Canton, John Romano of New Hampshire and Santo Romano of Florida and the late Benedetto and Michael Romano. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Frances Gaglione

Of East Boston, formerly of the North End

Frances (Alferi) Gaglione of East Boston, formerly of the North End of Boston, died on July 14.

She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Gaglione, devoted mother of Angelina “Angie” King and her late husband, Jerry, of Revere, Michael and his wife, Marie, Pasquale “Pat” and his wife, Barbara, Susan
Pioppi ,Ronald and his wife, Annette, all of East Boston; dear sister of the late Louis  and Albert Alfieri, Rita Mazac, Susan Smith, Lillian DiGetano, Louisa Difria, and Emma Coito; loving grandmother of Teddy Baker, Deborah and Sandra Baker, Charlotte Iapicca and her husband, Gus, Frank Pioppi and his wife, Candy, of Luigies Pizza of
Beachmont, Loretta Gorman and her husband, Bill,  Ricky Gaglione and his wife, Toni, Bobby Gaglione and his wife, Mary, Raymond Gaglione and his wife, Karen, Ronald Gaglione and his wife, Donna, Robert Gaglione,Timmy
Gaglione and the late Timothy Baker. She is also survived by her many cherished great grandchildren as well as her many adored nieces and nephews.

Phyllis Ragucci, 91

Of Ludlow, formerly of Everett and the North End

Phyllis (Feola) Ragucci of Ludlow, a former longtime resident of Everett, died on July 12 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was 91 years old.

Born in the North End of Boston, she worked at the Park Café in Everett with her husband for many years and then for the Cross Candy Company, Malden Hospital and the Dill-e-Deli Restaurant in Ludlow. Proud of her North End roots, she lived in Everett for most of her life and spent a number of years in Ludlow. She loved to entertain, feed people, go to the casinos, play cards, listen to Dean Martin and sing.

She was the beloved wife of the late Peter S. Ragucci; daughter of the late Elvira (Tomeo) and Antonio Feola; dear and devoted mother of Barbara Dzierwinski and her husband, William, of Ludlow, Peter Ragucci and his wife, LouAnn of California and the late Theresa Sargent; loving grandmother of Richard Dzierwinski of Springfield, Laurie Ann Kareta of Ludlow, Paul Dzierwinski of Ludlow and Michele Anne Ragucci of Londonderry, NH and great grandmother of Vinnie, Billy, Ian and Aldan Dzierwinski, Chanelle and Derek Karetra, Eponine, Peter, Theresa and Peyton Dzierwinski and Peter and Michelina Fitzpatrick; sister of Connie Vitale of Hanover, Gloria Bickerton of Canton, Emma Sewell of Bothwell, WA and the late Nicholas and Vito Feola.

Funeral arrangements were by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Because she was happiest when she was doing for others, in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 or to the Birch Manor Nursing Home, New Lombard Road, Chicopee, MA would be sincerely appreciated.

 

Teresa D’Andrea

Of Revere, formerly of the North End

Teresa ( Guarino) D’Andrea of Revere, formerly of the North End, died on July 9.

She was the beloved wife of Fiorentino D’Andrea with whom she shared 50 years of marriage; loving mother of Carmine D’Andrea and his wife, Nancy, Annette Rodil and her husband, Mitch, Susan LaCroix and her husband, John, and Maria D’Andrea, all of Revere; dear sister of Antonio Guarino of Boston and Gaetano Guarino of Revere; cherished grandmother of Tina, Ashley and Michelle D’Andrea, Stephanie, Jennifer and Samantha Rodil, Christina and Daniel La Croix and Anthony and Erica Verdone.
