Working with the NEAA, Representative Aaron Michlewitz has helped organize a North 2 South Baseball Classic Tournament between the North End Majors All Star team (15 players) and the South End Little League All Star team.
Game one (7 innings) will be played on Friday, June 25 at 6pm at Langone Field on Commercial Street.
Game two (7 innings) will be played on Monday, June 28 at Luis Tiant Field at 6pm.
Some of the rules: Every player gets an at bat and one inning in the field per game, pitchers can only hurl 2 innings per game and other rules will be determined by the home team.
An MVP, runner-up MVP and defensive play(er) of the game will be selected from both teams.
"When I ran for office last year," Representative Michlewitz said. "I saw one of the great similarities between the two neighborhoods was what great baseball programs we both have. I felt it was a natural progression to starting building the bridge between these two neighborhoods that I love and represent."
Representative Michlewitz and the NEAA encourage residents to turn-out for these games and support the local Little Leaguers.
